Faciliator Gerrek Zwickle shares how SmartLab helped students recover.
The District 6 SmartLab provides a combination computer and STEM lab with an incorporation of project-based learning to provide students with a wide variety of options for learning. Aside from hands-on experience with technology, the SmartLab also teaches collaboration and communication skills and helps to incite a passion for learning. As students return from the COVID lockdown, the SmartLab provides a space for them to understand and relate to other students, allowing them to grow as a community.
