Karen Durfee Winner in Samsung Solve for Tomorrow Contest

Congratulations to Jordan High School SmartLab Facilitator, Karen Durfee!

Durfee is a Utah state winner in the Samsung Solve for Tomorrow contest. She was honored for her “innovative approach to advancing interest in STEM among your students as well as making an impact in your community.”

As the Utah state winner, Durfee will receive a minimum of $20,000 of Samsung equipment for her school with an opportunity to earn more in the national competition phase.

Bill Laurienti is the content marketing manager at Creative Learning Systems. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Secondary Education (English) from Colorado Mesa University and a Master of Arts in Secondary Teaching from the University of California's Rossier School of Education. Bill came to CLS after 10 years in the secondary classroom.
