Core Skills Articulation

SmartLab engages students in STEM learning through problem solving. SmartLab learning experiences increase in complexity and rigor as students learn.

Our team evaluates and selects technology to match the developmental needs of the learners on this continuum. This way, students develop skills appropriate for both their grade bands and abilities. Learners progress to using professional tools in high school.

The 8 Areas of Exploration:

  • Group technologies to enhance the relevance of individual kits, equipment, and software in the tech-leading SmartLab HQ
  • Introduce learners to a broad range of technology, related careers, and opportunities for future learning
  • Create logical progressions for developing skills with related kits, equipment, and software

We consistently hear that students are eager to get back into the SmartLab because they can showcase learning outcomes that are much different than in the traditional classroom.”

“We are able to work with our students to get them career and college ready, and we do that K-12. SmartLabs help by getting students’ hands on projects and activities, getting them working with partners in the classroom, and getting them building something they would’ve never have imagined they could build…it’s actually shown our community what our students are capable of.”
